COMMITTEE ON REHABILITATION RESEARCH
2006-2007 Committee Goals
This Committee is charged with the consideration of all issues involving research affecting the State-Federal Rehabilitation Program and the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
Goal # 1
Align the CSAVR Research Committee goals and activities with the CSAVR evidence-based research and practice.
- Identify 2-4 areas of published research that have
import for telling the
Public Vocational Rehabilitation story and/or shaping the future of VR. - Identify a uniform protocol for a CSAVR evidence-based
“cost-benefit-
return on investment” data collection initiative to propose to the CSAVR
Executive Committee. - Identify areas of best-practice and/or evidence-based
research initiated
by CSAVR member organizations which lead to the improvement of
vocational rehabilitation services.

Following review and approval by the CSAVR Executive Committee support CSAVR member initiated or participatory research efforts.

Promote funding and partnerships to support CSAVR evidence-based practice and research.
Goal # 2
Maintain established request parameters and a review protocol for CSAVR approved requests to State Vocational Rehabilitation Agencies to participate in national surveys.
Goal # 3
Assure that research results from CSAVR member initiated or participatory surveys and research studies are shared with CSAVR members and posted on the CSAVR websites.
Goal # 4
Establish an effective programmatic relationship with NIDRR.
