State Rehabilitation Councils

The State Rehabilitation Councils (SRC) work in partnership with the VR State agencies to develop the goals and priorities of the VR program, evaluate the  effectiveness of the program and analyze consumer satisfaction. The requirements, composition and function of the SRC are defined in Title I, Section 105 of The Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.

As key partners with the State VR agencies, CSAVR recognizes the value of  involving SRC members in organizational meetings. At the Annual Fall and Spring CSAVR meetings, the SRCs meet to discuss topics and issues of interest among council members from across the country. The SRCs also participate in the various sessions and committee meetings of CSAVR to bring the consumer voice to discussions around various topics related to the development and delivery of VR services on a state, regional and national level.
