Hawaii Vocational Rehabilitation and Services for the Blind Division Success Story
Mr. Wen Shen Huang was enrolled in the Employment Training Center’s Culinary Arts Program from August to November 1999 and was selected as their most outstanding student. He was also featured on a Cooking Network highlighting outstanding culinary students, demonstrating his talent, on an all expenses paid trip to Florida in December 1999.
After sending out numerous resumes, filling out many applications, and following up on placement efforts and interviews arranged by the VR Social Service Assistant, Allan Loo, he was hired by the Lobster and Crab House at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
Marina Jones, General Manager, worked closely with VR in training Mr. Huang who continues to be successfully employed. Congratulations to this young, gifted cook as he continues in the world of culinary creations and communicates through his cuisine.
